The Transformation of Pittelille
People laughed at me when I bought Pittelille. It was one of the ugliest houses in Henningsvær and time had really thorn this place down. It was ugly, it was in a bad condition, its was small and it was smelly. Nothing charmy about this place at all. But I saw it different. I saw this super cozy writers home, small but spacious, cute and quality, an exclusive nest with big outdoor space. We removed all the damaged materials and we put a lot of effort in cleaning up and using the old woods that was originally used. We also kept the original floor plan as it works quite good in this little house. Old wood was cleaned, cared for and then used inside. Both for furnitures and building materials. Our carpenter was very enthusiastic about old craftsmanship and have year and years of practice crafting beautiful details with the wood. He even helpe us with an special designed logo. As the ugly swan, Pittelille has now turned into this absolutely geourgos and beautiful little place that people from all over the world love rent and have as their Henningsvær base.

Sandveien 111 a family home
When we bought Sandveien it was because of its spectacular location. Our own private beach, sun all day and night, Northern lights, quiet, peaceful and a huge space to develop. The arctic ocean and the mountains, surrounding the house. The house is older and has a charming little barn right beside it. Its not hard to imagine that life here had been raw and wild. There was an elderly lady that had been living here and the house had feminine details such sas flowers and pink colours. We have only done an upgrade inside this house, painting and refurnishing. New kitchen, new bedrooms, painting the old bathroom, painting all the rooms and effcourse super comfortable and delicious furnitures. Inspired by the old ay, Sandveien has flowers and feminin colors as a theme. And now its really a wonderful place for families and friends to spend there vacation. You find peace and connect to nature in this place. For sure !
The historical barn
200 year old barn, fallen and overgrown. The old barn was a true pleasure to renovate. It was a huge job to tidy and clean it. Then the potensial was not difficult to spot: Windows with a panoramic view, the high ceiling, the roof window so you can lay in bed and spot the Northern Lights, bathroom with HOV mountain view, and the interior.. All the old wood, carefully cleaned and taken care off, very plank nøy planned were to putt it back. It was a pure joy, and sooo much creative work. We made our own furnitures from the wood, we cast the old stabel door. we built bedroom were the horse was sleeping and we did everything we could to keep it authentic. All furnitures are re-used and I made a promise that gjenbruk og bærekraft should really be a priority. Its a very good atmosphere in the Barn. Its unique, and it gives you a possibility toeno here nature from the inside. Waking up to the sunrise, enjoying a meal to sunset. Laying in bed an watch the stars and the Northern lights. I love staying at The Barn, its really something special.
Loftet - from no view to 360° view
Once it was "the Blue house". Then we panted it green and called it "The Madame". Then we named the topp floor the "Loft". With absolute insane view over Gimsøy island this is is really a unique penthouse perfect for 2 ! When we bought it it looked sad, abandoned and depressed. But we saw the potensial and started dreaming, drawing and exploring. We wanted to build a super comfy and sexy penthouse. A place were you don't get sad if weather is bad and you need to stay in bed. From Loftet you can view the whole island while cooking and kissing, reading and chilling. The old woods, the big windows, the terrace with the little hot tub. God is in the details and we wanted it to be so warm and comfy and just have everything you need for your stay.
